Well the fact that matters is Search Engine Optimization is not for every one or say not every one needs it.Search Engine Optimization is for those who have site or blog of niche getting maximum traffic fromsearch engines.If the site niche is which have large number of regular readers then SEOmight not be useful.
SEO is not so difficult as well as can never be specific or simple.SEO can alter your concentration or creativity.You care about Meta Data of every post but forgets to mention noticeable points in the post and looses readership.SEO is for search engines andsearch engines are for searchers i.e common users doing search engines searches for content.
SEO must be done based on the site niche,traffic source,post content,info being provided in the posts and many more to list.To make the point clear consider a simple example.

Now consider another example of one of the popular blog Mashable.com.Mashable as compared to problogger.net is very huge and of different niche.Mashable uses almost every source/way for traffic.They have done every possible optimization for traffic from any where.Google the word “mashable” and you will see the following result.

Mashable has done good SEO,they get huge search engine traffic on old posts and earns a lot of revenue via advertising on old posts.Their team is big and every day tens and more article are published.
So these example might clear the point of search engine optimization.What blogs to have SEO done and what might not to.Never forget,write for readers and not for search engines because search engines works for readers and just refer sites,blogs.
